Nugget is the WBKR Pet of the week!

Tune in tomorrow to WBKR 92.5 at 8:20am to hear more about this sweet lady!

Meet Nugget

My name is Nugget. I am 6 years old. I have not had a wonderful life up until now, I was a puppy mill dog and spent my life having litter after litter. Now that I’m old and no longer able to produce I was discarded. The vet said my teeth are in really bad shape but she can’t do anything about it yet because I’m heartworm positive. The vet said that’s why I cough so much and get sick to my tummy sometimes because I have worms in my heart. I’m thankful for SparKy Rescue saving me from an uncertain future because I know I will get medical treatment for my health issues plus I don’t have to sleep in a dirty cage anymore! I have a nice clean soft bed, clean water, and plenty of food. Please consider donating to my care so SparKY can save other dogs like me. Nugget is not currently available for adoption. If you would like to foster Nugget or would be interested in adopting Nugget in the future, please go to www.sparkyrescue.com/adopting and fill out our pre application.

Nelson is an 11 week old lab/dachshund/jack Russell mix.  Nelson had a birth defect and his private area was not where it was supposed to be.  After determining all the plumbing was there, he had reconstructive surgery at Towne Square Animal Hospital to put it back in the correct place.  Surgery has been quite expensive.  Nelson is not ready for adoption yet but will be soon.

Frankie is about 14 weeks old. He came to us from a nearby shelter whose vet told them to euthanize him. They reached out to us. Frankie came and TSAH splinted his leg and stitched a laceration on his stomach. He is on crate confinement now. He is a lab mix and is not ready for adoption yet. These are the kinds of animals we take in order to save their lives.
