Meet Shepard mix puppies!
Winnie is a 12 week old shepherd mix pup. She came to us from a nearby kill shelter with her siblings. Winnie will be a larger dog when she’s grown. She is working on her housebreaking and gets along with other dogs. Winnie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Meet Trudi
Trudi is a three year old beagle girl. She is very submissive to other dogs and people. As soon as she sees you coming her way, she rolls over and shows you her belly. Trudi came to SparKY heartworm positive and has been through treatment and tested negative. She has been a struggle to housetrain, but is finally getting the hang of it. She loves a dog bed, and to snuggle on the couch or bed with her person. She gets along great with everyone she meets and loves to play with other dogs. On her own she enjoys running around the yard and sniffing everything... she is a beagle after all!

Meet Posie
Posie is a 12 week old terrier mix. Posie is all that and a bag of chips. Just ask her. Posie is gonna need to go somewhere that a family will recognize her greatness and treat her as such. She is used to being the center of attention and like any superstar, has certain demands that will need to be met. Lots of toys are a must. Tap water is no good for this princess. Bottled water it is. And the fluffiest, softest, plushest dog bed is what she has to have. Only the best will do for this gal. Posie is not house trained Don’t even ask her. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped.

Meet Puck DRD Graduate
Puck is a 2-year-old lab/border collie mix. Puck is fairly laid back. He gets along with other dogs and kids. Puck is house trained and is working on basic obedience in his foster home. Meet Charlie
Charlie is a 1 ½ year old beagle/aus shep mix. Charlie is a wild man who has a lot of pup in him. But he is also very loving. Charlie would love a family who would allow him some ways to burn some excess energy (hiking, running, etc.). Charlie has been reported to be housetrained Charlie is very curious about other dogs and sometimes doesn’t realize he is “all up in their personal space.” However, he mainly just wants to find a play buddy. Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.

Meet Opal
Opal is a 14 week old beagle/dachshund/lab mix. (These are all just guesses). She and her brother were pulled from a neighboring shelter. Unfortunately the evening they came home, the brother was diagnosed with parvo and died. Opal also came down with it but she recovered and she is full of spunk. Opal is still taking some meds for some parasites but other than that, she is quite healthy. Opal is not house trained. She loves, loves, loves other dogs. She loves toys. She is a little shy and is not really too sure of people. But we believe with love, patience and positive attention, she will overcome this. And the leash…well, that thing can go you know where. Since she’s not mastered the leash yet, we’d prefer a fenced in yard to keep her safe. Opal is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Fallon is a one 1/2 year old terrier mix. Fallon was found abandoned in a house in Ohio County. Fallon loves people and wants to be around you all the time. She is a funny girl who has a beard. She loves attention. She can be nervous and skidding if unsure. Fallon is working on her house training. Fallon is energetic and playful. She would do best with a secure fence. Meet Stark - DRD program
Stark is a one-year-old lab/retriever mix. Stark is a very sweet boy but sometimes can play rough. Stark will need someone who can understand his behaviors and also someone who understands his energy level. He play bites and nibbles and sometimes can get into it with other dogs due to his playfulness and excited state. He needs a family who is active. If the family has another dog, a meeting with that other dog will be required. It is best for the other dog to be laid back and not be alpha. Stark could probably benefit from an obedience class. He is very smart and loves to play. Stark is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations.
